The UK's advanced F-35B fighter jet, which made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on June 14, will not be dismantled, according to sources familiar with the development. Instead, specialised engineering teams are set to arrive at the Trivandrum airport to carry out necessary on-site repairs. Officials have confirmed that the aircraft will be back in operational condition and resume its service once the repair work is completed. The aircraft belongs to the HMS Prince of Wales Carrier Strike Group of the UK's Royal Navy. Valued at over USD 110 million, the jet is considered one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in the world.
